Caroline Clissold

Caroline is an experienced teacher, having taught all years form 1 to 6. For nine years, she was the mathematics consultant for a London authority implementing the National Numeracy Strategy and subsequently the renewed version into the borough. She was a BEAM consultant for four years. Her work for BEAM involved delivering INSET and longer term sustained programmes. She now works as a freelance consultant, her jobs include: co-ordinator for the NCETM, supporting teaching and learning in various schools and local authorities in London, part-time lecturer. She has had many articles and books published. Her main interest lies in developing a love of mathematics in children and teachers, ways to link mathematical concepts to each other and the wider curriculum, integrating using and applying and speaking and listening skills in a meaningful, engaging way.
