Jean Knapp

Jean started her Mathematical journey as a Mathematics Coordinator implementing the Numeracy Hour in her second year of teaching in the 90s. In her eight years of teaching she was a Lead Mathematics Teacher and Mathematics AST for Hillingdon LA. She continued in Hillingdon as a Mathematics Adviser training Teachers, TAs, Management and other Advisers as well as writing materials for TestBase, BEAM and the NNS for eight years. In the last few years of the role, she also managed NQT induction. In 2008 with launch of the Williams Review, Jean was the Hillingdon Mathematics Specialist Programme lead until 2012. She has worked as a Senior Lecturer at Kingston University since January 2011 on the Primary Mathematics BA and PGCE ITT Programmes as well as supporting schools from time to time with Good to Outstanding and Maths Specific CPD.
